DAY 1

Arrival in Tbilisi airport and transfer to hotel

DAY 2

After breakfast at the hotel, tour starts with Mtskheta. Mtskheta is located in 15 km distance from Tbilisi and is old capital of Iberia, Georgian kingdom. It still remains as religious center of the country and is called “holy city” in Georgia. At first, we will visit Jvari Monastery (VI century) and enjoy beautiful view on town and conjunction of Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers. Then we will enter the town itself and visit Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – Fascinating monument from XI century. As legend says, robe of Jesus Christ is buried under the church. A little walk in street with souvenir shops and cafes, and we will head to the west Georgia. After Lunch break on the way, we will arrive in Kutaisi – another ancient city. After check-in and little rest in the hotel we will visit local restaurant and enjoy dinner with traditional folklore singing  show.

DAY 3

Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. At first we will ride to Prometheus Caves – 1.5 km of underground beauty, which is finished with  boat trip (depends on weather). Than Gelati awaits us – well-known scientific academy and monastery  from XII century. Here is the grave of David IV Aghmashenebeli – one of the most powerful kings of Georgia. Free time for lunch and and city walk in Kutaisi and we are ready to go return back  to east Georgia: Check-in and dinner and overnight in the hotel, in Bakuriani.

DAY 4

After breakfast we head to the south and visit Vardzia Caves, both fascinating and mysterious place. Lunch near the river and then ride to Akhaltsikhe: renovated Rabati  Castle and its museum tells us centuries of Georgian story. Ride back to Bakuriani, dinner and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 5

Breakfast and check-out  from the hotel. Visit to Borjomi Historic Park – place of healing water and nature. Ride to Uplistsikhe: rock-hewn town from Early Iron Age. Then we  will visit hometown of Joseph Stalin and  take a look on his house-museum. After Gori we head to the North – to  Caucasian Mountains! After stops at Zhinvali water reservoir and Ananuri Castle, we reach to Gudauri – ski resort in caucasian mountains with beautiful scenery. Dinner  and overnight at the hotel.

DAY 6

After breakfast we continue going to north: in Kazbegi we will move to jeeps and start our jeep tour: The main attraction is Gergeti Trinity church – XIV c. monument on the top of the hill with astonishing views. Lunch break in the center of Kazbegi town and long ride to Tbilisi. Check-in at the hotel and dinner with traditional dances in the restaurant – good end to exhausting day.

DAY 7

After breakfast we start Tbilisi city tour. Founded in V century, Tbilisi is very diverse and interesting city. We will visit old part of Tbilisi, walk in the district of baths, ride the cable way  to Narikala fortress and overlook the city – beating heart of the country. Then comes Dinamo market – chaotic bazaar of the city. After little rest at the hotel, dinner awaits us at the restaurant.

DAY 8

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. On the last day we head to Kakheti – wine-making region of Georgia. Inside the defensive wall, small, “cute” town Signagi sits on the top of the hill – for centuries it served as shelter during enemy invasions. Lunch in local family – with traditional Georgian dishes and hospitality. Then we will visit one of the most holy places in Georgia – the Bodbe monastery. In the church is buried St. Nino – Cappadocian piligrim who brought Christianity to Georgia. We get back to Tbilisi and arrive in Shopping mall – the best way to finish journey! For shopping time is never enough but it’s time to depart – transfer to the airport.
