Tour description

Tour starts from Metekhi church (XIII century) and continues to old part of Tbilisi by walking. Old city is heavy mix: here you can find Georgian Orthodox, Armenian Gregorian and Roman Catholic churches, a synagogue, a mosque and a Zoroastrian temple all within a 5-minute walk of each other together with old narrow streets and antique buildings, modern glass constructions and peaceful parks.

By cable car we will rise up to Narikala fortress (IV century) and enjoy view on Old Tbilisi.

We will visit the Freedom square – central square of city and walk on Rustaveli Avenue. This busy street, that was laid out in the 19th century and is named after the great 12th century Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli, is now at the heart of 21st century Tbilisi. Our tour will take you pass the Moorish-style opera house, the theatre and the Parliament building, not to mention the dozens of cafes, restaurants and shops along the way.

At the end of the day Mtatsminda hill awaits us! we’ll ride Funicular to top of the hill and overlook the city – from one end to another. Besides the view and amusements park, of course you will have time to enjoy another attractions of Mtatsminda hill – well-known restaurant and pastry-shop overlooking the city.
